The Future of Cities

Songdo is a smart city in South-Korea it is the biggest private city development in history. It was designed by the New York office of Kohn Pedersen Fox. Gale International, holds 61%, Posco 30%, and the remaining 9% is owned by Morgan Stanley Real Estate.

Climate change could be stopped or postponed using Geoengineering

Geoengineering could stop climate change and it is quite certain that it would work, as we already have data from the impact of volcano eruptions and their influence on the climate. The Talk also points out why Geoengineering is a taboo at the moment. Whether you endorse such measures or not this is quite interesting.

Arcologies are buildings that are designed to lessen the impact of human habitation on any given ecosystem. The word itself is a portmanteau of “architecture” and “ecology”.
